Opening up the forum

Should we open the forum up to *close* friends of the Jr's and I or should we keep it strictly to Yoshi for the time being.

No one rly knows about the forum unless their in the guild.
And if they are close friends of the juniors, I'ts likely that they've already been invited to the guild.

Of course this could open up new options for recruiting.........

Initially my reaction was no, but I do think it's a good recruiting tool as well. Not to mention there are only a few Jr.'s so it will only be a couple of people. I do think though that they should not leave posts involving guild subjects etc. But it's a good way to show how our guild runs and how well the people interact. It may also open up opportunities for an allience as well. I guess my point is you don't know what doors it can open in the future. The people that do come I would think, would be good friends and most likely just view what we have and leave a message for their friends. On the other hand though if they were posting all over and no one knew who they were, that may not be good either hmmm, tough call!!!

I think that even if every person in the guild joined, that gives us a maximum of 100 people, which might sound like a lot, but...idk. I think opening it up to friends of EVERYONE in the guild will allow, new friendships to be forged, greater participation in conversations, as well as opportunities to recruit (or even better steal from other guilds ).

The biggest problem I see, is security. The forum can allow someone with evil intentions to track peoples e-mail/ip addresses. It would only take one bad person to hack everyone's account. Right now, we have a trust-worthy group, but adding dozens of strangers will KILL security.

Verdict: No. Absolutely no, because there are too many risks. We'd be much better off inviting people we can trust.
