Clara's Poem

Ok jazz scares me sometimes so I thought its better to put this down like he told me too. This is the one I entered the contest with.

Leaping for love

I sit here at the prime of youth, pondering the thought.
That love if not taught early
may be a not.
I have never loved another
In the romantic kind of way.
Always finding it a bother.
A way people pass the day.

But can love really hold a meaning
If they hold it dear.
Is there something redeeming.
With sharing hearts with no fear.
I still pass if off
As a wondering phase.

But if I could love another.
As I hear and see.
Would I heed my own warning?
To watch before I leap.

How are you sarcasm?


I met sarcasm on the street
I said Sarcasm how are you on this fine day?
Sarcasm gives me a glare
It’s a great day and I feel the best in the world
I heard this but looked at sarcasm
With bumps and lumps and flumps all over sarcasm
I asked sarcasm don’t those who lie
Die and sigh and are always in spite?
But sarcasm walked away before I ended
For sarcasm is a one trick pony
That seems to get people suspended

sarcasm has such a bad attitude, he needs to lighten up =P

From young to future

The young
The young
Looking around
What do they see?
They see a world full of wonder
Beyond you and me

They see things that we forgotten
A new version of what we know
Places and things that through the years have taken its toll
And as we pay the bridge man of time
With our innocence and naïve

I ask the man of time with eyes of deep
Why do you take what we would rather keep
He looked at me with those eyes that knew all but never wavered
A shock went through me like a bolt, with sharpness of a saber

The young may be happy
The young may be proud
They may see the world in rose colored glass
In love with the idea of unknown
I darken your soul with realism and doubt
For clean does not want to dirty
With the dooming sense of responsibility
They will scurry



My jaw open wide
With my face all a blunder
What he said seemed like no wonder
My life had been turned
My thoughts all fitting together
My future like a puzzle
That fit better

The time keeper turned away
on to the next child of day
he turned away from the future we behold
to the man in black with eyes of old.
